ANZAC Day Memorial - Leighterton UK 2007?

Hi folks,

I got an inquiry from a retired RAAFy that they will be in the Cotswolds during the ANZAC Day period and would like to attend the Leighterton ANZAC Day ceremony. He mailed the local council's there but they didn't know anything about it.

Does anyone here have any information on the ANZAC Day ceremony at Leighterton?

Try giving Australia house in Trafalgar Sq a call. They may be up to speed on any anzac day celebrations in the UK

As per the website http://www.nzembassy.com/home.cfm?c=14

SERVICES HELD OUTSIDE LONDON

LEIGHTERTON
Leighterton, Gloucestershire

Organised by the South Gloucestershire Group of the Royal British Legion, the Leighterton ANZAC Day Parade forms up at the school at 2.30 pm for inspection and then marches to the Cemetery for a short service at 3.00 pm, in remembrance of the young air cadets who died at Leighterton and who are buried there.

The village is situated just off the A46 approximately 10 miles south of Stroud. It is a fine example of the Cotswold village and is within easy distance of many local attractions.

For more information please contact Mr Roger Thomas, 31 Chichester Way, Yate, Bristol BS37 5TB or Email: r_thomas31@tiscali.co.uk
