Bosta 19 aerodrome in April 1918?
Hello,
where was Bosta 19's aerodrome in April 1918? Guyencourt? - which Alliied unit attacked the place on 20th April 1918?

Hi Thorsten,
I'm still puzzled by that one, Kagohl IV was at Danizy in June 1918, but in March 1918 Bosta 19 seems to have been in Flanders as on the 23rd they had the loss of Marschall Karl, Vizefeldwebel who died at Aartrijke.
In the night of June 11/12 Bosta 19 participated in the bombing raid on Compiègne.
Perhaps someone is more knowledgable on this matter ?
Sorry, not much...
Best from Johan

Hi Johan,
thanks for your info!
Asked this question for I have a 'new' member of Bosta 19 on my page,
Günther von Oertzen, who died - as I was told - during an Alliied Raid of their aerodrome!?!

Hello Thorsten,
I have the info, that von Oertzen was mortally wounded when returning from an bombing raid against Amiens. The note I have says: "Bei der Rückkehr angegriffen, landete er tödlich verwundet auf seinem Flugplatz Guyencourt."

Hi Immo,
that affirms my information by 50%... the aerodrome wasn't bombed... but he was mortally wounded! Thanks!

Hello Johan,
no, unfortunately I don't have additional information The Nachrichtenblatt says that the attack against Amiens took place in the night from 19. to 20. April...
I don't even know if the Information I have about von Oertzens death is the "real" truth...
Perhaps there is more to find in Kofl 18 papers but I don't have access to those reports.
Immo

CGAS has Ltn.dR. Leo Felden and Rittm. Eduard Ziegler both pilots of Bs19 killed this same date and location.
