I have a question,

What aerodrome was FA A 206 stationed at when Ernst Udet was part of that unit?

Thanks

Udet served in two two-seater units, in one of them he served as instructor as a Gefreiter in 1915(from April to August i think) and then he was recruited to FA 206 by Ltn Justinus to be his pilot in an Aviatik B. I dont know exactly in wich aerodrome thei *were but i know it was in the Vosges region, in the south part of the front. I know Udet took part in the air raid to Belfort on 14 September 1915, and remained in FA 206 *until December 1915 when he was transferred to KEK Habsheim, a scout unit.

Hope this helps!

Hi

As a "newbie" in FAA 206 Udet had some "big" problems and only stayed for 20 days after some days in jail...

He could not be transferred to KEK Habsheim as this was not an indpendant unit. He was still a member of FFA 48.
When this unit was transferred to Roumania Udet was moved over to FFA 68 where he stayed until joining Jasta 15.

KEK Habsheim was a sort of temporary unit with personal from at least two different units, and Udet was "attached" to this KEK....

Perhaps Rick or someone else can add or has some other information..?
