lafayette aerodrome??

sorry if this is a dumb question, but i am a newbie to the lookin at the history, i am more into the aircraft and simulations myself. was there an aerodrome at lafayette? and if so, how many squadrons of aircraft manned it throughout the war?
i am not lookin for info on the american volunteer squad, unless of course they were one of the squads to man the aerodrome? lol

The lafayette Escadrille (squadron) was named for the Frenchman Lafayette that helped the Americans in Louisiana and other places, after the Germans filed a complaint that the Escadrille Americian was named for America who at the time was neutral. Hence the name Lafayette Escadrille. To my knowledge there was not an Aerodrome named Lafayette, nor a place named Lafayette, other than Lafayette Louisiana.
I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong???
