AB425 (pilots flying log book)

Hi gang!
....am wondering if anyone can help out with some info on the above RFC publication! What i am trying to find out is how many pages the pilots/observers flying log book had? One bod has told me it had 100 pages, and another said it had less! If it is 100 pages, then it's about 1/2inch thick!!
Can anyone help? There must be someone on the forum who has one of these to check! Any help is greatly appreciated!!

tim

Log Books

Hi Tim,

Don't know if this helps: I have a copy of AB136 which was used as an observer's log book by Brodie Wilson of 20 Sqn in 1918. That is 100 pages.
However, it does not look like it was designed for the purpose as it is just a thick lined notebook, and B.W. had to draw in the column lines by hand.

However, I do know that the RAF Museum at Hendon has O.H.D. Vickers' pilots log book - but I don't know if it's the format you are asking about. I would think they probably have other log books too.

In any event, Hendon can probably answer your question - they are very helpful.

Bob
