(German) bomb sights?

I know that an American entrepeneur (who's name I forget) sold bomb sights (allegedly) to both sides before the war. no surprises there.

his bombsight seemed to consist of a board, two moveable sticks, and a spirit level. presumably mounted on the side of the fuselage (probably the right side, given most folks are right-handed, yes?).

so, does anybody know where I could find pictures of these bombsights? and did the Germans make any of their own bombsights... I know the French had the Michelin and the British (I think) had the Wimperis or some such thing.

I've purchased the book "America's Pursuit of Precision Bombing: 1914 to 1945" and it's got some useful information... but, as to be expected 90% of the material is "World War II is all that really matters and everything else just builds up to it". (okay, I'm being unfair, but that's the way most military history seems to go these days).

thanks in advance, for any information.

Bomb sights???

Totoroman:
The Germans used a Goerz Bombsight. It was a vertical sighting tube about 65mm in diameter with an eyepiece on the top, that protruded through bottom of the fuselage. I don't know how it worked. It has some kind of adjustment on the side about 150mm from the top. Of interest, I have seen movies of Japanese Bombardier using this Goerz Sight in a "Betty" Bomber in WWII.
Blue skies,
