Hello,

I seem to be reading conflicting information on SPA78 in "Over the Front". In the description of the unit, It is stated that it belonged to Groupe de Combat 15, but under the description of SPA150, it says that it belonged to Groupe de Combat 16.

Can someone help clear this up for me? I need to know a little background on N/SPA78 to help me figure this out. ??? ??? ???

Regards,

N 78 was assigned to GC 15 on 19 March 1917 and remained there until reasigned to GC 16 on 15 January 1918.

the only think I can said is that there is a typo in over the front it said that spa78 was transfered form GC15 to GC15 it should be GC16 the only difference I have is the date december 17
the N78 was created by in december 16 under Lt Armand Pinsard, it joined GC15 in march 17 it was flying nieuport 17 and Nieuport 23 and 24
by november 17 N78 was reequiped with spad 7 before moving to GC 16.
I have here a small problem spa78 was transfered to GC16 in december 17 but the unit (GC16) was only formed in jan 18 (the tenth)
in april 18 still with GC16 the unit was moved from 7th army sector to 3rd army by time the spad 13 was inroduced GC16 was latter qupporting the US force in the St Mihel area
