Beardmore 120hp vs 160hp engine differences?

I'm hoping someone can help me out this question...

Does anyone have any info on the differences between the Beardmore/Austro Daimler 120hp and 160hp version? Ie: 120hp used in early FE.2b and 160hp in late FE.2b (not the RR Eagle used in the FE.2 specs here on the areodrome for the FE.2d).

Did they achieve the extra hp with mainly internal changes (ala Mercedes D.IIIa, D.IIIau etc) or were there substantial, external, differences (ala Benz Bz.III vs Bz.IIIa)?

Thanks in advance... Bill.

The main difference is the bore. The 120hp Beardmore has a bore of 130mm. and the 160 hp Beardmore has a bore of 142mm. They both have stroke of 175mm. The 120 weighs 538lbs and the 160 weighs 598 lbs (without 90 lbs and 100 lbs of water for each) Source: original Beardmore factory catalogue.
Both have dual carbs.

Joe: I wonder if the weights 90 and 100 lb. don't refer to the weight of the cooling system, including water, rather than just to the coolant itself. I checked around in the 1919 Jane's and could find no figure for coolant and radiator weight for any engine, but did find a figure of .65 lb. per BHP as cooling system weight cited for three different liquid-cooled engines. Good catch Ransom. Yes it does include the radiator itself, plus the weight of water in the engine and the weight of water in the radiator.

The weights given above for each motor includes the prop boss, water & oil pumps, piping, carbs, magnetos and wiring.

The 120 hp figure is @ 1200rpm
the 160hp is @ 1250rpm

the 120 average use of petrol & oil is 10 gallons per hour and 3/8 gallons per hour

The 160 uses 12 gallons of petrol & 1/2 gallon of oil per hour
