awsome, thanks for the pic,i've found out a little more info since my original post.
i originally thought that the st pol airfield was near the town of st pol/bethune but the full name for the airfield was st pol sur mer.
"An airfield was built in 1913 near the sea in Saint-Pol. British and French flight squadrons were stationed there during the First World War. The city was bombed several times in 1915-1918"

Dunquerke
Cnock:
If I am not mistaken, that is Dunquerke harbor. My wife and I were there in 1972. In fact there was a destroyer that was sunk in 1940 during the evacution of theBritish Army, just off the harbor, the masts were sticking out of the water there wer marker buoys near for shipping. I can see the locks to the inner harbor.
Blue skies,

Les Moeres
Cnock:
Guynemer had engine trouble and he landed at les Moeres Airfield and worked on his SPAD XIII, famous photo was taken. Willy Coppens told me in 1972, that while Guynemer worked on the engine he talked to Guynemer. He made a point of telling me that he was the last to speak to Guynemer. Willy admired him greatly. It was Willy who pushed to have the memorial statue erected in the town square at Poecappelle. Willy wrote the inscription on the statue.
Blue skies,
Dan-San
