Wish List....all the back issues of Cross & Cockade and Over The Front and a beautiful library to read them in.

First of all, no one in my family is allowed to mention "That C-word" before Thanksgiving. lol But, in the spirit of such wish-lists, I want One Full Time Job at which I can earn a modest living....and one at which I can use my BRAIN! And, hopefully, that will come before that C-word. That done, I want a DVD player so that I can watch Flyboys. lol As well as my other WWI flix...and my chick-flicks....and.... And, then, there's that list of books that I want!

My favorite day of the year is December 26th. lol Bah Humbug! lol

Field of dreams

I wouldn't mind having an airfield in my backyard, fully equipped with a squadron of Fokker Dr-Is, ground crew and a pilots' mess where I could drop by from time to time to chat with the fellows.

Failing that a genuine Pour le Merite will do!

Hmm. That's three days before my birthday. What are you going to get for me?

Seriously, good luck finding a good job.

Regards,

Whatever's left! lol I always felt so sorry for kids born right around Christmas. lol They didn't get that special, gift-receiving day of their own earlier in the year.

I always had a separate birthday party. My parents were very good about that. With my second son due on December 19th, I'm going to make sure that he also gets his own special birthday celebration.

My first son, John, was born on November 19th and he'll be four this year. His birthday celebrations usually conflict with Penn State football games -- something my family takes very seriously. Still, we manage to have good parties for him too.

Regards,

Ahh, yes, The Day of Many Happy Returns.
Good luck with the job search.
I've sunk to standing on highway offramps with a sign:
"Old, retired, broke....pity freely accepted."
I had to dump the old sign...nobody knew what it meant:
"Gettysburg vet. Please help. God bless."

Only 11? My cat calls that a "warm-up".

Two jobs! (One to satisfy the pocket book, and one to satisfy the brain.) That sounds pretty ambitious.

LOL I've thought about doing that! But, my sign would be more honest: "Do not qualify for government bail-out. So, just gimme some money!"
