Bad news lads but...
I asked my mom if women today would dig men in a WWI flyer uniform (a Uhlan tunic for example),and her reply was not sweet news.According to her women today like men in a uniform like that of a top gun pilot or a commercial airliner uniform (not my cup of tea!).Darn,I guess the 1910's is a by gone era.
Though I still think I would look quite dashing in a Uhlan tunic, those uniforms are lovely!

Willie... make mom watch The Red Baron movie and see if she thinks that Manfred is cute. Then show her Flyboys. From what I can tell, the women like those guys....

Hey, why not become a WWI re-inactor? Then you'd have a valid reason to wear the uniform.

Or vise versa
I wonder if I can pass a Uhlan tunic off as a "tuxedo" to a prom because I really want to wear one next year!

I think it would be fun to wear a Uhlan tunic!Getting the medals, pin them in its designated spots (the Prussian pilots badge below the cross),throw in a wound badge (I did almost bust my head open at recess in Sep 2001,the stitches were pure misery!).I already have a replica Pour Le Merite.
By the time I get the complete uniform set,I would be in the average age of a pilot in WWI.As a matter of fact,if I was born in 1893 instead of 1993 then MVR would have been a year older than me

Hi Willie,
You'll probably look great in your tunic but I'm not sure I'd wear it to the prom. When my two nieces were in high school they just gave me silly giggles whenever I tried to mention WWI to them. This is a very specialized interest that won't appeal to most. Believe me...I've tried the PR.

Here you go Willi:

A little inspiration for your endeavors if you haven't seen it yet.
Best Wishes, FOKKERJ
P.S. Learn how to sew. I agree with Cigogne and FliegerJG1.
I would like to add that the new features Scott has added to the main page are great!

Nice jacket he's got on! Recently Ginger showed me a site that has that jacket for about 100 euros ($200).By my junior year I will have a complete set with the tunic and the jacket.Put it all together and you will be instant eye candy

Lucky for me I got the boyish looks of Albert Ball and we all know that thats the trait "cougars" like of a young man
Whats funny is that my mom thinks Albert Ball is "dishy" and said "What a waste" when she found out he was KIA.I think my sis has a thing for MVR
