Hi

Some small additions

KEK Bantheville seems to have been stationed at Bantheville and Martincourt.

KEK Ensisheim was stationed at Ensisheim and Colmar Nord if I'm not mistaken.

KEK West was Faubourg de Laon, Vaux

So far we located exactly :

Phalempin (Lille), Cunel, Roucourt and La Brayelle (Douai), Ensisheim and Colmar Nord, Nord (Bertincourt), Falkenhausen (Buhl), Habsheim, Metz (Frescaty), Porcher, Vaux (Roupy), Sivry, Stenay, Nieuwmunster, Chassogne Ferme

Approximately :

Bantheville, Martincourt, Saint-Erme (Ost), Vouziers

Still to go :

KEK 1 and 2 3rd Army, Avillers, Jametz, Mannheim, Trier

Any clues to the location of these airfields are welcome !

Best from Johan

mannheim

Mannheim is in Gorrell's. I can't see it because fold3 wants the premium account now. Anyway,I went through it before that and I have it listed at N 49'30'10' E-8'28'25' . It's some kind of industrial site these days.

prereorganization and creation of the jastas.. Fa(a).. Etc. What were the different classifications of the aviation units did the "flying detachments" that were attached to the various army and corps in 1914 get reorganized into the FAs and keks or were there kek, fa's and flying detachments still in late 1915 up till von hoeppner's reorganization in fall of 16. I am trying to make a flow chart or from august 1914 thru end of the war and finding definite Orders of battle for the luftstreitkrafte pre fall 1916 is tricky.. My understanding is there were keks, fa's and the carrier pigion units as the front line air units at the time of reorganization.. Am i missing anyother types?

Hi Matt,

the right designtion of the German two-seater units before the reorganisation in fall/winter 1916/17 is Feldflieger-Abteilung (FFA) and Artillerieflieger-Abteilungen (AFA's) The Flieger-Abteilungen (FA's) and Flieger-Abteilungen (A) (A for Artillerie) FA(A)'s were first created after the reorganisation. This is very important, so please don't mix these two abbreviations. Thank you.

Regards

Rainer
