French Pilots Leather Boots ???

Hello all
I picked these up at a Brocante on Saturday. I think(well hope) that they were a style popular with French Pilots during WWI. After a couple of hours work I think they scrubbed up quite well.

I was feeling quite pleased with my €10 purchase until the dealers wife said that they had come with a complete uniform but the chap didn't want the boots(presumably they were too expensive!).

I may pluck up courage to ask what the uniform was the next time I see the dealer!

Any comments welcomed- good or bad...................!

Regards Rob

Hello,
Perhaps him, wrote on the trunk: SGA - mémoire des hommes - Fiche
Could you, please, to make an unlargement of the trunk?
I read also the name DELORT on the trunk.
Best regards.

Nice find on the boots. I have been trying to find replicas or something close to that style book and just haven't seen anything even close.

Try Civil War Boots and Civil War uniform shoes for Civil War reenactors and reenactments from Civil War Boots . They make a lace up boot that looks just like that, without the upper strap. I bet they could add it for very little. IIRC I paid $240 about 2 years ago. I will be home later and will try to find the ID number, as it is not on their web site I think. Tom does really nice work.

I looked but did not see anything like that.

There is this sale here about an aviator's boots:
(10-09-12 20:36:00) #183715712: Botte a Lacets Officier WW1 Type Aviateur [139 EUR] - Delcampe.fr

I don't know if a fake or not, I'm not really an expert about that (I'm not interested for to buy these boots).

What do you think about these boots? Thank you.
Best regards.

(Sorry again for my poor English wrote, I have opened a free count here: !Apprendre l'anglais:Cours d'anglais,jeux,exercices,grammaire,tests-Enseigner l'anglais, should be well and against my eternal mistakes in English (you must to use "a" when or "an" when,etc...), I hope if I am not a too bad student )

Thank you.
If They are well authentic, why not to let these boots authentic? (I want to say with the old age).
Also, I am not a collector of things or uniforms, but what is the risk that the historical value would be less?

Same if, I am not to buy old things or uniforms, I like to look them in photograph or in museums, as for your photographs (Thank you again).
Best regards.
