I'll give you a start in the right direction (I hope) and perhaps some of the more expert members here can exapnd on this.
The Nachrichtenblatt der Luftstreitkrafte is a weekly summary of the German aviation activity. "Over the Front" began an Engligh translation series of these reports in their Spring 1999 issue. These translations have appeared intermittently in issues since then. According to a Managing Editor's note preceding the article, there were 88 issues of the German Nachrichtenblatt of the Air Force beginning on 1 March 1917 and ending with 24 October 1918. Jan Hayzlett translated the material with editorial oversight by Peter Kilduff.
Some of the information included in these reports covers a summary of air force activity the previous week, recognition of accomplishments of individuals or groups and a listing of enemy aircraft downed.
You asked a great question and I hope we'll learn more about this topic!
Regards, FliegerJG1
