This isn't from a comrade, and perhaps you've already seen it before, but I think the best and most honest praise is that from your enemy. And as much as I loathe to extol a Hun flyer , James McCudden had this to say after that legendary fight:

His flying was wonderful, his courage magnificent and in my opinion he is the bravest German airman whom it has been my privilege to see fight.
