Hi Dove

I cant help you with Andreas Andersen who served within the German Air Force, as you indicate in the A Army detachment(?)...
I actually dont have any Andersen in my lists of German units...but perhaps Rick, Jörg or someone else have..?

The only Andersen I have served as observer within the German Marine Air Force in 1918, however I dont have any first name of him..

Hi Rick

I have that Flugzeugobermatrose Andersen did join See I (Seeflugstation Flandern I at Seebrügge) on 29 Jun 1918 from SFS Bug.
At Bug auf Rügen he probably had been serving within the flying school for basic observer education..

He was still serving within See I in late Sep 1918, so I assume that he served within this unit until it was more or less dissolved in Oct 1918...

Some "ambitous" flyers from See I went over to the north sea stations for further fighting in Oct 1918 but I havent found his name among them yet...

Anyone out there who have his first name..?

Hi Gunnar!

Andersens first name is Andreas. I found little more information about him. He was flying a Fokker!!? - and he was in a squadron how lost 18 out their 50 aircraft.
