Hello again
It might be a possibility that the Huthmacher who served in Jasta 36 late in the War was the same as the Marine pilot Huthmacher, but I doubt that..!
Anyway, it does not help as dont have the first name of the Marine flyer Huthmacher....
However, I have some loose notes on him like he was educated to sea plane pilot already in late 1915-early 1916. He did receive the Seefliegerabzeichen on 22 Aug 1916.
From at least May 1917 he served within
See I (Seeflugstation Flandern I located at Seebrügge) where he scored his first aerial victory on 15 May...
On 31 Jul 1917 he was promoted from Flugmaat to Flugobermaat.
On 31 Aug 1917 he "received" an "Annerkennung"(recognition in military media)
Then he left See I on 16 Dec 1917 for a brief service within
See II (Ostende), but he was back 28 Dec 1917.
Then he left See I permanently on 23 Feb 1918 for service within See II at Ostende.
And on 27 Jun 1918 he was posted to
SFS Bundisella (n Pola) on the eastern front...
After that I dont have any information on him...
However, does anyone have the first name of this Marine pilot...?
Regarding
Uffz Kirchhoff, who with rather certainty was a Saxon..!....I have him as a member of the later Saxon
FAA 250 from at least Jun 1917...
It also seems that he scored a victory while serving within this unit...!
On 5 Feb 1918 he was posted Jastaschule II...
He was actually posted to the Saxon
FEA 6 on 24 Jun 1918 while attached to Jagdgruppe 6, which means that he must have left Jasta 36 before this day...!
Perhaps Rammjäger, Rick or someone else have his first name...??
It is a bit strange that Kirchhoff was not promoted further to Vfw because of his rather long service, but perhaps he made something a militarian not should do...?
