French Pilot POW picture

On Ebay was picture of French Pilot POW. (ALthough I didn't buy it-I did make
a note of it(for reference only). It must have been taken early int the war because a guard has Spike Helmut (ALso although caption describes one pilot-picture shows possibly pilot and a observer)
The only writing was followin ( I can't read German)
"Gefangene Flieger offiziere eines abgesch.feindl.flugeues (?)"
What did captionmean?

From a non-German speaker, but, something to the effect of, "A captured enemy officer [and] a shot down enemy aircraft". R.

The un-abbreviated German annotation reads:
Gefangene Flieger offiziere eines abgeschossen feindliche flugzeug

Directly translated:
Captive (Prisoner) flier (aviator) officers one shotdown (downed) hostile airplane
