Maj. Joseph H. A. Landon

I have the following information on Joseph Herbert Arthur Landon, but would appreciate some help with a few details:

Born early 1887 in Brentwood, Essex; 2 Lt., 1 Vol. Btn., Essex Regt., 25 Feb. 1905; Lt., 1 Vol. Btn., Essex Regt., 29 Jan. 1907; Lt., 4 Btn., Essex Regt., 1 Apr. 1908; Capt., 4 Btn., Essex Regt., 23 Jun. 1908; secnd. to RFC and app. Flg. Off., 30 Oct. 1914; Flt. Cdr. and Instructor at CFS, 23 Jan. 1916; CO, 41 Sqdn., 20 Jul. 1916; DSO, 4 Jun. 1917; posted to HE, 3 Aug. 1917; app. Ass. Dir. (Temp. Lt. Col.) at War Office, London, 13 Aug. 1917; Maj., 29 Aug. 1917; Wg. Cdr., 27 Dec. 1917; app. to perm. com. as Lt. Col., 10 Dec. 1918; MiD, 31 Dec. 1918; rel. com. in TF on app. to RAF, 24 Feb. 1919, rtng. Maj.; OBE, 3 Jun. 1919; Grp. Capt., 1 Jan. 1928; placed on half-pay list, scale A, 5 Aug. 1934.

Can anyone tell me, please, on which day, exactly, Landon was born, on what date he retired, and possibly give me a date and place of death?

Is anyone also able to tell me, please, where CFS was located at the time Landon was there from January-July 1916?

Any help on these queries, or any additional information, which I do not have, would be most appreciated.

Thanks and regards
Steve
