Two brothers in KG 1 ?

Hi,

Two men with the same familyname served during 1917 in KG 1, and I was wondering if they were related, or even possibly brothers, they also both were killed in 1917 :

- Jordan Ernst, Leutnant – pilot Kasta 6 + 12 March 1917
- Jordan Franz, Unteroff. – gunner Kasta 4 + 13 November 1917

Anyone know more on this ?

Thanks and best from Johan

Hi Johan,

I don't know for sure - but I have my doubts that these men were brothers. Jordan is a very, very common name in Germany. Besides this Ernst Jordan was born in Rastenburg, which is located in East Prussia and Franz Jordan came frome Kostenblut in Silesia...

Just a guess,

Immo

Hi Immo,

Thank you very much for your reaction, didn't know that at all. Would indeed be bizarre if they were related.
Would have been a great story otherwise

Best from Johan
