Frank, I have Dr. Erich Mix as scoring 13 vics in WW2 with JG 2 and 1, and Alfred Mueller as getting 3 vics WW2 with 4\JG 3 as follows: Morane on 21.5.40, Curtiss and Lysander on 5.6.40.

VtwinVince,
I think the number 13 for Erich Mix is part of the folklore of WW2. According to the Jagdfliegerverbände volumes Mix had two victories with Stab I./JG 53 in the Phoney War period; one as Gruppenkommandeure of III./JG 2 during the French campaign; and a fourth during the Battle of Britain. He was relieved on Sept 23, 1940.

The claims for Alfred Müller with 4./JG 3 are also listed in Teil 3 of the Jagdfliegerverände series.

Frank.

Wilhelm Leusch crashed from 400 m altitude with the so-called "Weltensegler" - a glider monoplane without tail constructed by Dr. Friedrich Wenk. That happened during the second Rhön-Wettbewerb on 14. August 1921.
The glider was a so-called "Knickflügelflugzeug". Don´t know the fitting English term but I imagine the wings looked like the wings of the Stuka.

Frank,

Albert Lux died in 1954. I do not have the exact date but I believe he died in Strasbourg/Alsace.
