Seeking Information on Bavarian in FFA4

Can anyone provide any information on:

Sargeant Karl Bauer (FFA4 in summer, 1916)
Anhalt Friedrich Cross, 2.kl. gazetted 28 June 1916 in Feldflieger Abteilung 4

We suspect:
EK1/EK2
Brunswick EAK2
Bavarian MMK1wK/X
Honor Cross for Combattants
Bavarian 15-Year LS Cross
(bumped down to Luftwaffe 12/4)
Repeat on the EK2, 1939-45
Bavarian Pilot Badge

Any information/details greatly appreciated!!

He was a mechanic until at least 22Feb18 when he was posted to FEA 1b. He may have received pilot training at that time, but I lose track of him. This is what I have:

(Sergeant)
FeldLuftAbt 2 _______ 2Aug14 - 11Dec14
FFA 4b ____________ 11Dec14 - 15Jan17 (renumbered)
(Vzfw.)
FA 47b ____________ 15Jan17 - 10Jan18
AFP 3 _____________ 10Jan18 - 22Feb18
FEA 1b ____________ 22Feb18 -

Hope this helps a little. R.

Drat!

Hi Rick, thanks much for the details!! I guess this isn't my guy...... it was a shot in the dark at a "likely" suspect. The thing that works against me is that the Bavarians kept their personnel in their original unit, even when posted as flyers..... The Combination of Brunswick EAK2 & Anhalt FFK2 screams "Bavarian Aviation" very loudly to my "Evil Twin"......... this was a stab, now it gets dirty...... here's the bar in question:

hey Rick!!

Lookee what the "Evil Twin" just pulled from the casualty book:

"Vizefeldwebel Bauer, Pilot, FA 293(A)b, wounded in action 16 September 1918."

Perhaps I was hasty....... the killer is that our access to "Secret list of Non-Bavarian Awards to Bavarians" ends on 1.1.1918

Well, I Tried!

Sorry about that. Is the name correct = Karl Bauer? And, have you tried the NO'C Aviation Award series? R.

Vzfw. Josef Bauer

Hello Stogieman,

I found following information about the FA(A) 293b:

22.06.1918
Vizefeldwebel Josef Bauer (F) in der Gegend von Ayette durch Bodenbeschuß schwer verwundet.
