21 April again...
It's the 21st of april again, we all know what that means! Break out a beer or some other beverage that has pleasing qualities to you and empty it in the Baron's memory.
Perhaps today is a good day to drink...
Hmmm, I have choices of Grolsch, Botterik and Mead (honey wine)...what to choose?
Kind regards,
Reinout

RIP MvR.
I will raise a glass of Ceske Budojowice to his accomplishments and memory.
Today is also the wedding anniversary of myself and Mother Russia. We have been hanging out for 27 years.

I think I'm drinking Harpoon Ale this week, although the wife always has a few bottles of Zeller Schwarze Katz on hand. That might be more appropriate.

Birthday greetings
He knew what he signed up for...
But here's a toast in champagne to those currently on active duty around the world... whatever theatre, whatever service.
May they never share the fate of the Great One.
Slurp!

I too will lift my glass tonight in remembrance of MvR, not for his accomplishments but for influence that he put on me when I was a young boy for the love of aviation.
So thank you for this fantastic flight....
Lloyd...

My dream of becoming a pilot bloomed when I finished reading der rote kamplieger 14 years ago in 5th grade. I'm still flying, so I guess I owe a toast for that. Mine will probably be a McEwans or a Guinness.... not that I don't like German beer or anything....

As today we stand here and think of all the soldiers of WWI and WWII, we shall always remember MvR. Foe or friend alike, he was a friend to me. He shall always be a friend to me and I think he shall never be forgotten. RIP MvR, see you up there when its my time.

Congratulation, Leo! Hope for another 27 years!

BTW: Sometimes I think it was better for MvR to die in WWI. In general living heroes last not so long and can easily lose their reputation, e.g. by cooperation with mad dictators.
