No. 24 Squadron Combat Reports

Hello,

I am looking for No. 24 Squadron Combat Reports, specifically those of Saundby and Andrews from 23 November 1916. From a private source I acquired No.24 combat reports pre/post 23 November but for some reason those from that specific date were not included in the file. I hesitate buying the No.24 CRs from the London PRO if indeed the 23 November records are not among them, yet I think they must exist since the reports are reproduced in the book "Hawker VC".

Does anyone know if the 23 Nov 1916 CRs are included with the PRO files? Does anyone have copies available of the specific CRs listed above?

Any help/suggestions appreciated!

Thank you for your time,

JFM

Could it be that perhaps, ONLY Maj. Hawker entered combat on that date, and none of his other pilots did? If that were the case, then there would be no CRs for that day.

Saundby's CR is in Air 1/1221/.../24 Sqn. Frame 213 on the microfilm. It specifically mentions Hawker's loss. I have not yet cataloged a CR for Andrews on No 23, 1916; but I still have not entered the pictures I took last year, so I may have it. Someday I will find out ... *sigh*
