Question bavarian pilot Manberch

Hello,
I am looking for more information about pilot Manberch or Manbirch. I know he was member of Bavarian Schusta.

For any kind of help, thanks

Buddecke

Tobias,

Are you sure that the name is spelled right? Especially the first letter? M? I checked all 10 KrStR's for the 10 Bavarian Schusta and came up a complete blank. Including the mechanics! Obviously this is a question for Reinhard! R.

bavarian pilot

Hi Tobias,

maybe I found the name of the bavarian pilot.
I think it's Unteroffizier Josef Maubach but he was not a member of a Schlasta.

22/09/1917 Flieger-Ersatz-Abteilung 1b
05/05/1918 Fliegerabteilung (A) 293b.

Gruß
Reinhard

Maubach

Hi Tobias,

I think it's FA(A) 293b. But it's not sure.
The unit was in april 1918 in Masny-Süd, later in august 1918 in Oise le Verger, in September 1918 Neuville sur l’ Escant (all 17. Armee).

greeting
Reinhard

Tobias,
The Hannover Cl.II in the photo is not proof that he served in a Schlasta. This type of aircraft was also commonly used by the FA(A) units. Now, if it was used by FA 293(A)b - I have no idea. R.
