Meinel-Tannenberg

Hi

I wonder if anyone knew the first name of this Marine Jasta pilot...?

I have his last rank as Flugmaat...

Hi Gunnar,

Can't help with this man, I'm afraid.
I just thought i'd mention that my work manager's surname is Meinel, and his father apparently served in the Luftwaffe during WW2.

Question Tannenberg,A Familiar Name

Dear Sir,

That second last name after Meinel reminds me of the Battle of Tannenberg which was won by Feldmarschal von Hindenburg in 1914. Could it be that this pilot added Tannenberg after Meinel later or after World War I?

Sincerely,

Edward

Hi Edward

"He", with the unknown first name, did use Meinel-Tannenberg in all original sources I have seen so far (between five and ten)...but all these sources are from 1918...
