28 September 1918

On this date several RAF pilots were lost, namely in 29 Squadron and in 65 Squadron...

Im interested in knowing wich were the circumstances of their loss...anyone?

Joao,

...most probably a cosequence of the bad weather. Strong storm and rain that day in Flanders. Only one of the 29.Sqdn.RAF pilots was claimed by a german fighter. Capt.Hoy was forced down and made POW by Lt.Raesch from Jasta 43. Maybe the other casualties resulted in disorientation because of low clouds or became victims of german AAA...
