Kurings crash in a Giant a/c...!

Hi

Karl Kuring was one of the first Marine pilots who was flying Giant aircraft...

He is said to have crashed one new Marine Giant a/c at Staaken during 1916, probably in the autumn...during this crash he was badly wounded..

I wonder if anyone knew the nearer circumstances around this crash, like possible date and type of a/c....!?

Kuring was severely injured in the crash of the (re-built) VGO I on 10Mar17 at Staaken-Spandau airfield. For details of this crash see "The German Giants" by Haddow and Grosz. R.
