Max Immelman combat reports?

does anybody know where I can find first-hand combat reports by Max Immelmann. I've found allusions to first-person narratives by Immelmann regarding his first victory--but curiously, none of the more authoritative texts I've read have any mention of this. it's only when I go back to the more general introductory texts (ala Time/Life books) that I find mention of this. did Immelmann write about this victory? I'm making a comic book about his first Fokker kill... and I'm trying to put all of the first person narratives of this combat together. I've got Boelcke, and Reid's recollections... and I'm trying to see if there's a complete Max Immelmann narrative regarding the events of August 1rst, 1915.

totoroman,

Immelmann wrote many letters to his mother. These letters include his "combat reports" and were published in the book "Meine Kampfflüge" in 1916/17. His brother edited another book with these letters (filling in the blancs for some censored locations or names) and with MI´s biography and other add-ons. At least the latter book has an English translation but note the real letters with the original text are unpublished in the hand of collectors. You can expect some differences between smoothly running and shortened publications in books and original text.

thanks.

I kinda figured the original "combat reports" were gone... otherwise we'd have seen them published in their original form already! I've been meaning to purchase the Franz Immelmann book for awhile (aka, it's English!). my German is so bad I can't help but feel that any German text would be wasted on me!
