American Units, Planes, Pilots

Does anybody know the number of American Units, Planes, and Pilots that saw active combat in 1917-1918?

As regards units and personnel, I suggest you look up Wings of Honor by James J. Sloan, Jr. A subtitle of this publication is A compilation of All United States Pilots, Obervers, Gunners and Mechanics Who Flew Against the Enemy in the War of 1914-1918. Any library to which you have access may have this volume, or be able to obtain it through interlibrary loan.

This reference includes not only all the USAS units, but individuals who flew with the various allied units. For help in locating the book, refer to ISBN 0-88740-577-0.
