Bishop and Barker .45's for sale

http://www.joesalter.com/detail.php?f_qryitem=4587

As a Canadian who loves and shoots 1911's in .45ACP, I wish I was rich enough to afford these! I wonder what they will go for, and where they will end up. I wish our Canadian War Museum could bring them home, but it seems unlikely. Sigh.

Note that the image you click on appears enlarged at the very bottom of the page, so you have to scroll down to see them enlarged.

Neat handguns. They seem to be well documented. Thanks for posting the link.

regards,

Darren

I've sent the link to the Canadian War Museum, although with their fancy new building they probably can't afford window cleaner. But you never know.

EGAD!!!!!!

It'll be REAL interesting to see what these gems bring at auction. They're in even better condition than my Joe Foss 1911, but of course the Canadian guns are presentation types.

Interesting to reflect that the .45 ACP cartridge now is 100 years old (as is the mighty .30-06) and the pistol is 96!
