Bavarian Unit Question

I recently acquired a Militär Pass to a gefreiter who spent the entire war in Flying unit!! His exit stamp was FA 295 and he was with them from 3.8.1914-17.11.1918. I have never seen anyone spend that amount of time in one unit!! Any clues as to what he might have been doing? His papers note him as 'wagoneer' and he's qualified on both the '88 & '98 rifle. Thanks, Rick

Hello

Feldfliegerabteilung 1 b established at the outbreak of war changed its name in january 1917 and was named FA A 295 b!

"wagoneer" ?? Must have been a transport-soldier!

Thorsten
