Question Lieutenant G.J. Fogarty 9 Squadron RFC.

Hello everyone
I was fortunate to acquire the Medals (British War Medal,Victory Medal and Memorial plaque) at auction recently of Lieutenant Gerald Joseph Fogarty (Observor 9 squadron) RFC.
He was killed in action i believe on either 25/26 August 1917,would anyone to kind enough to tell me who was Piloting the Plane and whether there is any information on the report of this action.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Paul

Per Trevor Henshaw in The Sky Their Battlefield, 2/Lt. E.B. Greenheus (P) and 2/Lt. G.J. Fogarty (O) of 9 Sqn. RFC were hit by a shell in RE #A.3758 and KIA on 25Aug17 during an ArtObs. of Boesinghe. R.

The pilot was Lieutenant Ernest Brereton GREENHOUS. He transferred from the Royal Scots Fusiliers Reserve to a Regular Battalion, effective from 14 August 1915. He was appointed a flying officer (temporary 2nd Lieutenant) in the RFC on 21 April 1917 and made a temporary Lieutenant effective from 1 August 1917.

Was this pilot any relative of Brereton Greenhous the Canadian military historian?

Given the unusual surname and use of the same Christian/forename I'd say it was almost certain they were related. However, all I've come up with by way of biography is "Brereton GREENHOUS was born June 12, 1929 in Bishop's Castle, Shropshire, England, and died in Arnprior, Ontario on March 31, 2005 of liver cancer. He was 75. He leaves his wife and one son, Carl, a professional hockey player and coach in England."
