Edward Mannock's pistol

What pistol did Mannock carry to shoot himself in the event that his plane caught fire?

Mannocks pistol.

Officers preferred to buy their own pistols and favoured small automatics. Most of those I have encountered went for Brownings. Siegfried Sassoon being an example. The clue could come with the use of the word pistol rather than revolver, but as we know there's often no distinction made.

You could also buy a converter so's you can shoot .22 rimfire from the same revolver.
