Hello Friends.

The older brother of Oswald, he served as C.O. of Kasta 7, first in BAM and later when it was renamed KG 2. He then was posted to the command of Kasta 10 on 7Jun16 which he held to 28Aug16. No victories of which I am aware. R.

Always grateful of his contributions. It is really very little the concrete data on he know on his acting in the Great War. He apparently lived a time in Venezuela after the War. (or his family?) I wait someone carry out some other contribution. Early thank you. Dario

What happened to him afterwards? ... I know, he died following an accident with his car (not a normal car-accident). On his way back from the Casino in Wiesbaden, the missed a curve and died later from inner injuries... Thorsten

FWIW, Wilhelm is listed in the Army list of 1914 as Wilhelm Bölcke. The family spelled their name with an umlaut, but Oswald, who always used Latin characters, wrote his name Boelcke, with the oe linked.
