Gone but not forgotten
Our area lost probably our last surviving veteran of WW1 with the passing of Jacques Leon Salvan, at his home in Santa Rosa Beach, at the age of 107. Dr. Salvan, Ph.D was born in LeBlanc, France on 14 October 1898. He served in the French Navy in WW1, became a US citizen in 1933, and served in an unknown capacity in the US Army during WW2.
Rest in Peace
