Hello everyone,

I saw this article a little while back and I wasn't impressed. Despite all the references, the article just doesn't have a good credibility or language to it. It's just amazing what one can find on the internet.

One sentence says: "Clearly the dog, a huge ugly Great Dane, was his best friend". That made me pretty upset. How unprofessional does it sound to call a dog "ugly"? Poor Moritz... From the film footage and photographs I've seen, he was a handsome, well loved dog.

33 of 40 is an impressive percentage (82.5%) by historical standards, but even so short of Richthofen's perhaps unparalleled 74/80-83 (92.5%) I wonder if there is an ace with 20 or more victories who has a higher percentage than MvR -certainly not Goering 14-15 of 22 (68.1%)
