Indian pilots with the RNAS and RFC...
I've heard of Hardit Singh Malik and Indra Lal Roy, but have any of you heard of the following Indian aviators from WWI?
1. Welingkar (served in RFC)
2. Naorojee (served with RNAS)
I met a fellow at work from India whose father flew Hawker Hunters in the Indian Air Force and played golf with Hardit Singh Malik who was quite a player during his diplomatic days. He told me of these other names and so I am asking our RFC/RNAS/RAF experts to chime in.
Thanks!

Aaron,
nothing for the RNAS from Mid 16 to April Fools Day 1918. Noarojee wasn't his first name was it? I work with colleagues in India and many of them use their surname (usually shortened) as their familiar name. Amar, Vencat etc., Their "first" names usually follow after their surnames.
I've just re-read that and it doesn't make much sense does it?

Aaron, this might get more responses if you post it on the "War in the Air" portion of the Great War Forum. They are much more British oriented over there. R.

Rick,
I resent that remark! And I'll give him exactly the same reply over there as here.

Mike, sorry about that. I was thinking along the lines of OTF vs. C&C Intr. Still, it's a good Forum for RFC/RAF related matters . R.

Rick,
I agree with you, it's a very good forum and not overly obsessed with aces and Germans - as you say, just like C&CI v's OTF!!! Though a few of the dafter elements from here do find their way onto the site from time to time.
