Question Rolf Blessing Kasta 28

Hello,
I am looking for more information about Rolf Blessing. In 1916 he was member of Kasta 28 (BOGOHL 5).
Where were the airfields of Kasta 28 in year 1916 ?
Who was the leader ?

For any kind of help, thanks.

Buddecke

Hi

I have some minor additions...

Kasta 28 was still located at Mouzon on 1 Jun 16. They left 5 Army and moved to Somme (1 Army) on 5 Sep 16.

Oblt Ulrich Grauert (O) took over the command on 8 Jul 16 and hold that position until 28 Dec 16....he later become a Luftwaffe General...

The first name of Holdermann is Adolf. Kasta 28 was a half Saxon unit...

I have Blessings rank as Lt dR and that he probably had served within FFA 32 before joining Kasta 28...

His pilot Lt. Erwin Zahs

New information.
His pilot was Lt. d. R. Erwin Zahs (or Zass).
20. October 1916 Zahs (P) and Blessing (O) were shot down by french ace Alfred Heurtaux.

Anybody have more information about Zahs or
more information of Alfred Heurtaux tenth victory.

Thanks.

Buddecke
