Hi ,

I am searching added information about German crew captured on the Eastern Front.

I only know that

_.08.1916 ( ns ) The German crew was captured by Russian troops .

2 POW - Ltn. Hans Vinneberger and Fahr. Hans Reimers

Probably, someone has an information about unit of this crew ?

Only thing i found was this :

He was shot down by Canadian Ace Arthur Whealy of No 203 Squadron and died of the wounding.

So he must have survived russian pow and came to western front later if its the same guy.

Hello Vikinn, Perhaps this will assist you - ??? date 09.-11.08.1916 troops of the Russian 4th Army on the Western Front shot down and captured an Albatros in the Krivichi area. The airmen were captured. Note: It is highly probable the crew was pilot Uffz. Hans Heinrich Reimers and observer Ltn.d.R. Hans Winneberger who were registered on 15 August at Russian POW camp at Darnitsa. Best regards, agblume
