89 years ago today, Edward "Mick" Mannock was KIA. Gone but not forgotten, he remains forever young. We will remember...

"He whom the Gods favour dies in youth."
Bacchrides

That's a quote in one of my high school annuals. We lost three class mates that year to auto accidents. One I knew since kindergarten. I'm in my forties now, and when I see that a young person loses their life, I'm struck by the loss and waste. So I'll hoist one for young Edward "Mick" Mannock. I'm sure he has much favour.
