Tom,

Surprised you didn't recognize some of these gents yourself, in this popular old Nowarra photo. At extreme right (standing) is A. Heldmann, then Loewenhardt, then Hans Klein third from right (you can see his Pour le Merite).

Sorry, I don't think Voss is in the picture!

Mate,
Sorry about that Greg, your one of my experts in this matter along with Fokker J.

Doc recently changed my perscription on my eye ware and I believe I am blind as a bat for the last week or so and the eye strain is killing me. Thought I would let some of you younger folks take a gander at it and compare it to what I thought.

Recognize anyone else, standing or sitting in the pic.

So far I think that we have identified the following folks from the Picture.

Standing from L to R:
Vfw Aloys Heldmann,
Ltn. Erich Löwenhardt,
Ltn Max Kuhn,
Sgt M. H. Everix (RFC/RAF),
Ltn Adam Barth,
Lt. H. Whitworth (RFC/RAF),
Ltn. Hans Klein,
Unk,
Unk.

Sitting from L to R:
Unk,
Unk,
Unk.

Thanks again for any assistance you might be able to offer on the identies of these folks.

Hi Tom,

I think there's been a slight mixup (i.e., "to your left; no, your other left!"). I have a photo taken the same time as yours and the IDs given there were:

Standing from LEFT to RIGHT:
Unk,
Unk,
Unk,
Sgt M. H. Everix (RFC/RAF),
Ltn Adam Barth,
Lt. H. Whitworth (RFC/RAF),
Ltn. Hans Klein,
Ltn. Erich Löwenhardt,
Vfw Aloys Heldmann,

Lt. Max Kuhn is out of your picture, but was standing at far right next to Heldmann in mine. Sorry, the seated guys weren't ID'd either.

Regards,

Lance

Lance is right. I guess I should have been more clear in my post. As I said, "AT EXTREME RIGHT STANDING, is A. Heldmann, then Loewenhardt, then Hans Klein THIRD FROM RIGHT." I was of course, speaking as if from the viewer's right.

... don't you have a roster of Jasta 10 in December 1917. We can surely exclude certain pilots from that kind of a list (e. g. Werner Voss was already dead!)

Mates,

Sorry about that, these 6 on 1 off swings are making me punchy.

Thanks for the info so far - that leaves on 6 to go.

Anyone have any clues as to who they are?

P.S. working on an artcle att, that is why Voss is not in the pic. I am specificly looking for all of the pilots that served with Jasta 10 at one time or another. Will give you my list in a bit, for you all to sort it out and point out my reasearch errors. Best always, tom

Hi Tom:

I also have J10's roster with names and dates that include the commanders and locations via Rick Duiven if needed.
