Awile back on this thread there was a posting on the Chinese pilot Tsu that few with the FAS and the death of German ace Ltn Otto Parschau on this date. Looking through my assorted notes ect I am going to analize the German losses and see if I figure out who shot down who.

Somme area
Lt W Schramm KG 1 by Mdl Sanglier
Vfw W Heinmann KG 1 by FE 2/23 RFC
Ltn O Parschau FFA 32 by possibly Adj Tarascon N 62 or 22 or 24 Sqn RFC who got into a big dogfight with the German aircraft in the evening of this day, when Parschau was fatally wounded, and claimed 6 and 3 DD's.

Verdun area
FFA 12 & FFA 65 lost crew in this area this day claims by Nungesser N124,and crews from F 20 and MF 44 in this area.

Ypres

FFA 33 lost a crew this day at Moorseele possibly KIC

Finally no WIAs this day!? Feedback welcome.

Hello

Some infos about french claims:

Paul Tarascon claimed a LVG at Nesles. He wrote in his flight log (extract published in Icare 122) :
"21 july. 3 combats against a LVG and one combat against a bi-fuselage. The LVG fell 2km from Nesle" He wrote in the margin " The pilot I shot down was Parschau, an ace".
However Nesle is more than 30 km away from Grévillers, so it is very unlikely.

Alfred Heurtaux claimed a Fokker that day. The claim was not confirmed so no observer saw the plane crash, and if it ever crashed it was behind German lines.
No location is given for the claim but at that time esc. N3 was based at Cachy near Amiens, in the Somme.

BTW the pilot from MF44 who claimed a victory at Verdun was Jean Beraud-Villars, the author of Notes of a lost pilot. He briefly describes his combat on page 78.
