Ltn. Karl Crome from FFA4b

Hi ,
29.07.1916 ( ns ) The German airplane was shot down in air combat in region Dvinsk on Russian Front by rottmistr Kozakov A.A. from 19KAO.

Pilot Ltn. Karl Crome from FFA4b was KIA at Lake Drysvaty. Name and fate of observer is unknown to my.

Probably, someone has an information about this event and name and fate of observer ?

Cheers vikinn.

James, Fliegertruppe is most probably the guy with the greatest knowledge about the bavarian personnel and units here on the forum.

I think his guess that FFA 4 is the unit in question is right. FFA 4b flew for HGr. Linsingen during summer 1916. This was too far south.

Vikinn, FFA 4 was also active on the eastern front. It was part of Armeegruppe Scholz. Dryswjaty-Lake was located in the center of AG Scholz' Army-area...

Vikinn:
First of all Crome was a member of FFA 4 (not 4b). I goofed. His oberver is not known, but from the Deutschen Verlustlisten the best choices are Ltn. Josef Just or Ltn.d.R. Heinrich Kroos, assuming they were WIA. Units are not provided. Sorry. R.
