Sous Lieutenant Alain Auguste Terme

I came across this pilot while searching old posts on this forum. From these it would appear he made three claims on the Salonica front flying with Escadrille N91. all were claimed with Sergent Henri Astor as his gunner (in a Nieuport 10/12?). Does anyone have details on these claims? I know the first one one fell on 3 February 1916.

Hello Spad

Lt Terme was evocated here First aerial victory at Salonica front, February 1916

on the memoire des hommes site
SGA - mémoire des hommes - Fiche

Not easy to see the dates when he received military citation s but as far I can read

he received on 2/2/1916 the medaille militaire , the Croix de Guerre on 29/1/1916, and la Legion d'Honneur on 13/10/1916-Each dates certainly
corresponding to one of his victory

cordialement
Bruno

Hi Froggy,

He and Sergent Astor made a claim for an Albatros which fell into Lake Amatove on 25 April 1916, but I am not sure if that was his second or third victory.

regards

Terme and Astor

1er février 1916 : Sgt Alain Terme + MdL Henri Astor -> Albatros shot down and captured, south of Palihor.

27 mars 1916 : Sgt Terme + MdL Astor -> Albatros shot down on lake Amatovo (from FA 69)

25 avril 1916 : S/Lt Terme + S/Lt Astor (both promoted sous-lieutenant !) -> Albatros shot down south of Kar, East lake Amatovo, plane captured but crew escaped.

29 octobre 1916 : Sgt Major Emile Sicot + S/Lt Astor -> Lake Doiran, near italian lines. Wreck of plane found.

Astor was the gunner of Costes briefly in 1917 in a Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter, make came back to France after.
