Sopwith Camel (B6313)

As many of you may know this Camel is William George Barker's VC, DSO & Bar, MC & Two Bars Sopwith Camel. There is one thing that I am looking for, it is a picture of the Gargoyle he had machined and used it to replace one of his sites on his guns. I know there is a picture of him standing beside the Camel and you can see it in the background but I cannot currently find my copy of the book. So I can't help you on the page but maybe someone has an enhanced photo?

PS. sorry if i sound a little crazy

Bonjour Albatros Ace

There is an excellent illustration of Sopwith Camel B6313 by Dempsey in Sopwith Camel Aces of World War 1 by Franks which is accompanied by a detailed illustration of the devil mounted by William Barker.

Salut

No, with respect paid to Pearson, the work by Dempsey offers greater detail of both the aircraft and the devil too.

Any ideas on what the devil that devil is doing with his hands? Thumbing his nose? Playing a harmonica?
