I finally recorded my RED BARON song

Hello

My song has been listed a long time in the Wikipedia article on "The Red Baron in popular culture", but I only got a decent recording of it the day before yesterday.

I hope you like it. The lyrics tell the story of von Richthofen's wounding of July 6, 1917.

I play both guitar parts and sing. The miracles of home recording!

Since I haven't posted much to this forum, it won't let me post hyperlinks to the song. However, just use any search engine and search for "The Bicycling Guitarist" +"Red Baron" and you will find the lyrics page. The free mp3 download link is right next to the song title near the top of that page.

Please let me know if you have trouble downloading the mp3. My server host claims any difficulty is from one's i.s.p.
You might need to click on it a few times to get it to download. If so, I'd like to hear about it so I can yell at them, lol.

Have a great day! TBG

p.s.: if you like this song, please tell others about it. Feel free to link to it from anywhere. If I get a better recording still, I will post it with the same name in the same place.

Nice job TBG. I finally decided on my next project, which is an album's worth of songs with Great War aviation themes. It's funny, I'd been writing one this morning (working title: Down In Flames) when I took a break and logged in here and... saw your post, ha ha (Great minds think alike? I commute most days on bicycle too!). What I'm planning to do is to create each song as as a video; using archival photos and footage. As of now I plan to record each song fairly simply, without too much overdubbing and scoring. We'll see.

My video's will essential look like the one playing here now :
The Rain Desertin Danielson, Connecticut
(This is "1945" from my "American Dream" album.
I am more than ready to give this treatment to my favorite historical subjrct.

Anyways, keep on writing and bicycling!

MUSIC VIDEO added for Red Baron song

On December 2, 2008 I finished and posted a music video to YouTube for my 1995 song Red Baron. Go to YouTube and search the keywords "bicycling guitarist red baron song" and it should come right up. Alternative, go to my home page (found in any search engine looking for "the bicycling guitarist").

I thank the aviation artists who so generously gave permission for me to use digital images of some of their work in this music video. Troy White, Rich Thistle, James Dietz and Russell Smith.
