Francis Simonds 147th Aero

I was recently contacted by the son of Francis Simonds, who has the Scotty Dog emblem from the side of his father's SPAD. Does anybody have or know of a photo of the SPAD?

My Gallery
SPAD or Nieuport

Andrew -

Have you seen the insignia ? Is it from his Nieuport or a later SPAD?

His N.28 in which he scored his first two victories was N.6257 (5 and 16 July). His 3rd credited (3 October) was scored in S.XIII 7569.

No info on 4th on 12 October or the 24 July victory.

More later -
Mike
