Summer 1918 Jasta 4
Hi,
I am looking for specific information: where they were? What fights they had? Routine as well as any of special fights. I read 'Ace of the Iron Cross' by Ernst Udet and I still need more detail about all sort of that summer events.
Thank you!

Pick up both of Greg van Wyngardens books on JG1. The first was from albatros publications, and the second from Osprey. Both have valuable info on Jasta 4, including personal pilot info, combat reports etc. IHTH,

Thanks for the recommendation, Rick!
Of course, I would also recommend that you should go directly to the primary source, Jagd in Flanderns Himmel by Bodenschatz, and/or the superb translation by Jan Hayzlett, Hunting with Richthofen; the Bodenschatz Diaries.
By all means seek out Peter Kilduff's awesome The Red Baron Combat Wing, (Arms & Armour, 1997), a wonderfully researched and footnoted history of JG I.
The Grub Street series is vital, especially The Jasta War Chronology by Duiven, Franks and Bailey.

Now diving into the books =)
Thank you!

CD with colored drawings of Jasta 4
Hello Camellia;
I have a CD that is in color and covers Jasta 4 with 28 drawings in color. The CD is titled; Volume 1, WW1 German Unit, Personal And Aircraft Markings, Flieger Abteitlung 62 to Jagdstaffel 4. You can go to my website for details, Dan-San-Abbott.com. If you are interested there is are four pages of text, about Jasta 4, it's Commanders, Airfields and the ten top aces. Volume 1 has 131 drawings in color and 33 pages of text.
Blue skies, Camellia,
Dan-San

Thank you very much for this idea ))
Unfortunately I am only working for dry sort of research. I got few books on my hands (one of them signed by Norman Franks))
I find those tiny aircrafts and people really fascinating - the more I read, the more exciting they seem to me.

Most of the information about Roger Ronserail goes in French. From what I was able to recollect he is a very handsome acrobatic pilot

At the moment I am looking for the war aerodromes 1918.
My guess about Roger is that he is better known from after WWI, starting at 1920 something. You can write guys in French forums asking to translate.
I would be interested to know the result
