Help...Royal Flying Corps Pilot Edmund Fortin

I hope I am doing this correctly. I have written up a note asking if anyone might have information on my Uncle mentioned above. .written The note is in "My Album" which I am assuming you can view.
I am trying to find his enlistment papers (which I've misplaced along with his
RAF record of service) and will post more info later.
Let me know if this is sufficient...Hope someone can help..many thanx....Jack

London Gazette number 31391 (6 June 1919) carried the announcement that Overseas Cadet 64834 E Fortin was granted a temporary commission as a 2nd Lt on 15 February 1919.

Edmund Fortin Royal Flying Corps

Hi Graeme
Many thanks for the information and it is another step in solving a mystery about an uncle who left Sudbury Ontario and went overseas, then went out to the West Coast (Vancouver) and never went back east. I have uncovered some information and am presently looking for the copies of his RAF documentation and enlistment sheet...which I've misplaced. I appreciate you taking the time to dig out the info and please keep in touch...
It is especially interesting to me as I was in Lahr, Germany, for four years from 80 to 84 and Alsace and Strasbourg were French....but the locals speak French with a German accent and many of the towns have German names reminding us that Alsace changed hands over the years as a result of war.
On the picture my uncle wrote "returned from bombing Strasbourg, GERMANY"
Thanks again.....

Cheers....Jack
